NORTHERN MINERALS CO. LLC, Sultanate of Oman based company established in the year 2007. Company engaged in mining and mineral processing activities and aimed to fulfil the needs of customers within Oman and GCC countries. NMC is now emerged as a major manufacturer and supplier of various products like limestone grade, marble grade & allied products, Chrome etc globally. Later on, the company spread its wings to diversify to industrial supplies as well.
NMC has been engaged in all areas of mining activity like drilling, blasting, excavation, transport, crushing and screening. It’s three stage crushing facilities with advanced technology screens produce limestone from 300 microns to 120mm size confirming to various specifications as per customer’s requirement. Products in powder form are stored in silos for packing or loading directly into bulk pneumatic tankers.
NMC is equipped with modern quarrying equipment, sophisticated crushing units, high efficiency screening plants, ultra modern packing machines, storage silos for bulk products and logistics support for prompt delivery of materials.
NMC has dynamic and highly experienced technical team to produce right material with strict quality control under professional and efficient management.
NMC’s primary activities are mining and mineral processing.
Company is operating Lime Stone and Marble Quarries as well crushers at Kaboora (North Batinah Region), Wadi Al Jazi and IBRI. In Wadi Al Jazi, we also have a limestone factory ,which can even produce material to it powder form. All these quarries have estimated reserves of 50 million tons of high purity white Limestone. The Plants at these Quarries have the capacity to produce 5000 MT of limestone products in various grades and sizes, per day.
NMC’s Chrome Quarry is situated in Sumail, approximately 100 kilo meters from Muscat. 15,000 to 20,000 tons of materials are extracted annually from this quarry.
A subsidiary of NMC established in 2009 is engaged in the manufacture of Calcium Carbonate & allied products.
IMC is situated in Sohar Industrial Estate, 250 KMs from Muscat. It has ultra modern Pulverizing plants with double classifying system to produce 120,000 tons of Ground Calcium Carbonate to various specification and particle size distribution, per annum.
Coated Calcium Carbonate is produced using the latest technology at the new coating plants to meet the ever growing demand of this product in PVC and Plastic Industries.
IMC is situated in Sohar Industrial Estate. We produce Ground Calcium Carbonate and Coated Calcium Carbonate in this facility.
